Court Of Appeal has dropped to a dangerously low mark now and is taken to return to winning ways in this selling handicap, with Shenandoah Girl and Floodlight Fantasy respected. The selection has won many times over this trip and on most ground, so that is not a problem. Amazingly, in 88 career starts mainly confined to the northern circuit, Brian Ellison's charge has never yet run at the Westwood, but with lots of form on his CV in much better company, he can score at his first attempt here. Shenandoah Girl supporters will be happy that there has been plenty of rain around, as she acts with cut, and she has gone well in defeat here before so she is respected. Floodlight Fantasy is 10lb higher than his only win at this trip, which came on the all weather, but Robert Newland's gelding has definitely improved a bit and is consistent, so a win is not out of the question. Black Falcon has been confined mainly to claimers and sellers of late but is no stranger to the winner's enclosure although the ground may turn against him. Mohawk Star will be better for a recent run and could show more this time, but preference here is for Court Of Appeal.
