David Elsworth has got a very good strike rate with the runners he sends to the Westwood and he can enhance that here with Leptis Magna, while Emirate Isle and Gallego can also go well. Leptis Magna is partnered by Simon Walker, generally accepted as the best amateur around on the flat, and the gelding comes here on the back of a selling handicap win at Yarmouth last time. A 6lb penalty will make it tougher, but he could just be very well handicapped at present, he handles most ground and he'll do for us. Gallego has the best of the draw on the inside rail and is a force to be reckoned with after some good recent form. This would be his minimum trip really and the likely soft ground will help make it more a stamina test for him. Emirate Isle beat Emperor's Well at Carlisle last time and is 1lb worse off for a neck, so there is likely to be little to choose between that pair again and both are likely to be there at the business end. The ground looks to have gone against Uhuru Peak and Silly Gilly may be a better proposition, but we will side with Leptis Magna.
