The draw can be important here and the higher the better usually, so with that in mind we¿ll take By The Edge to score from Pretty Bonnie and Choisette. The selection was in good form on the all weather last winter for David Barron and acts with cut in the ground, so won¿t mind the recent rains. We can put a line through his last run at Thirsk in the hands of an apprentice and it was probably a useful pipe opener for this. Choisette was a c&d scorer from a low draw a couple of starts ago but although very speedily bred, she would not appreciate much cut and so we¿ll take her on. Pretty Bonnie gets on well with Natalia Gemelova and has won two from her last three. She doesn¿t mind getting her toe in and is a serious threat. City For Conquest is probably well capable of getting involved if handling the ground, but that is the big concern, and Lujiana might do better, but for today we¿ll side with By The Edge.
