One Off is at the top of his form and will be a popular choice to continue his winning run, but as he is 10lbs higher here than when beating the reluctant Most Definitely at Newcastle last time, he looks worth taking on with Flamenco Bride, who wasn't disgraced when beaten by the progressive Almutasader over course and distance last month. That effort was a big step up on her maiden win at Salisbury, a point not lost on the Handicapper, who has put her up 6lbs for getting beaten, but she is clearly going the right way and is taken to see One Off. Sir Mark Prescott's charge started off on little more than a platers mark this term, having cut little ice as a juvenile and has been making up for lost time winning five races on the bounce and rising 18lbs in the meantime. Off another 10lbs higher mark here, he is now two stone higher than when starting his winning run, and he should have been beaten last time, when the leader Most Definitely stopped in front, having gone to win his race. Snow's Ride has become disappointing, while Peppershot looks to have plenty to prove. Merrymaker may be capable of better, now he steps up in trip and is certainly at the right end of the handicap, while Anak Pekan should also be better suited to this trip, having done his best work in the closing stages over 12-furlongs at Newmarket last time. However, in what looks a hot staying event, we will stick with Flamenco Bride to add to her maiden win over course and distance.
