Several of these are likely to step up markedly on their first run and may improve past the more exposed Karraar. Obsidian was just behind the latter on debut at Newbury but was very green and should reverse the form. New Story wasn't far behind and is also interesting. Little separated Kings Fete, Fastnet Red and JONNY RAE in a Newbury maiden two weeks ago but Andrew Balding's colt had no luck in-running and it would be no surprise if he came out on top today and opened his account. Almerzem is well bred and could be anything while Mawaseel has already been placed over course and distance this season.
