In depth

Verdict

David Simcock runs three in this. Chester runner-up Apostle looks the pick but could do with dropping a few pounds. Haydock third The Rectifier could figure if the sun keeps shining but George Guru is better on the Polytrack. Capo Rosso is chasing a four-timer after scoring in this grade at Ripon and St Moritz is on a hat-trick after victories at Redcar and Ripon, though is facing better opposition here. Ishikawa has won twice over course and distance but is now on a career-high mark. SEA SHANTY is only a couple of pounds higher than when making a winning reappearance at Kempton. He boasts winning form over this track and trip and looks set for another good run.
