      Verdict

MUTHMIR made a winning return at Bath and is penalised for landing a Group Two sprint at Chantilly last month. He could only manage fourth in the King’s Stand at Ascot last time but still finished ahead of Goldream, Alpha Delphini, Gracious John and Willytheconqueror and Jim Crowley also prefers him to Battaash. The latter won a Listed contest over track and trip on his reappearance but Kyllang Rock came up short at the same level at Haydock. Tis Marvellous has yet to reach the heights of last season’s form when winning a Group Two in France but this is easier than his latest task behind Caravaggio at Ascot.
