There may be more to come from Original Choice following his Wetherby success, but his ability on faster going has to be taken on trust. Tigre du Terre looks the pick of the three-year-olds, and has Listed form, but is not guaranteed to get the easy lead he prefers, while Rum Runner may not be as effective at a mile. The improving Daira Prince has won two from two this season and will appreciate the underfoot conditions but CHIEFOFCHIEFS could be the answer here. The five-year-old was gelded over the winter and has been in good form this summer, twice running well over course and distance and going close in a similar contest last month. Escobar, who ran with credit in the Royal Hunt Cup, and recent course and distance winner Via Serendipity have place claims, along with the in-form Manson.
