In depth

Verdict

VOIX DU REVE arrived from France with a big reputation and was very highly tried without success until an easy victory over this trip at Killarney in May. He appeared to enjoy the good ground that day and now he's struck winning form can continue on the upgrade. Vengeful, a winner on the Flat in France, made a successful debut for Gordon Elliott in a Thurles maiden in October but hasn't made the expected progress this year and steps up in trip. His stable companion Osco Mosco ended last year with a victory at Fairyhouse and reappeared with another at Kilbeggan. He didn't enjoy dropping back in trip last time and looks the main threat. Carrig Cathal won a heavy-ground handicap at Ballinrobe in April but has been well beaten in all subsequent starts, albeit in better company.
