      Verdict

An ordinary looking claimer in which Proud Native can defy top weight and follow up his course and distance win in the same grade last time out. Drawn at the opposite side of the track this time, the old stager should still be good enough to score here. Zarzu, from the Cheveley Park-winning team of Henry Candy and Chris Rutter, has been showing some ability in handicap company and the three-year-old could again go well here. Al Muallim would certainly have place claims on his fifth place in a big field at Goodwood last time, while distance winner Senior Minister would be a threat if he could recapture some of his two-year-old form.
