Three Ducks needs a market check on this first run for the Hannon team however PRINCE OF THEBES comes here in good form and is preferred to Catchanova and Mavalenta in a very winnable race. Michael Attwater's gelding is a straightforward galloper who is normally ridden prominently and his recent second to Tartan Trip over this course and distance is the best recent form on offer. He is up a couple of pounds in the ratings as a result but he is still well-treated compared to his all-weather rating and is fancied to get back to winning ways. Red Somerset drops into a 0-75 for the first time in a while and is not discounted, Lean Machine looks the pick of the Hannon pair with Mr Hughes opting to ride the unexposed colt who looks fairly-treated on a mark of 74, whilst the drop in trip should see Goose Green showing up with more zest. Pictures looks well-handicapped on his 2009 maiden form but she has stamina for this trip to prove, a comment that doesn't apply to the Montjeu filly Mavalenta who ran her best race to date at Lingfield last month and she must run well off 65. Catchanova and Hip Hip Hooray are certainly not discounted off their light weights however the tentative nod goes to Prince Of Thebes.
