ADVERTISE is a nominal selection in a tricky handicap where a good number of the runners have questions to answer. Accordingly, not many are dismissed but two that are definitely worthy of mention include Major Phil and Bravo Echo. Advertise has form on fast and soft ground so should be able to handle the conditions and the form of his debut effort has worked out quite nicely with the likes of Barwell Bridge and Fareer emerging from the race to go on to greater success. His pedigree provides cause for hope that he can go on to enjoy further success this term and he's realistically treated. Bravo Echo has finished well beaten on each of his last two starts but his penultimate run was in a Group 3 where he was amongst the market leaders. His connections presumably believe that he's better than a handicapper and the quicker ground may enable him to enhance their opinion. Major Phil's pedigree suggests that a bit of cut would suit but he failed to translate the promise of his all-weather outings to Haydock's heavy ground on his reappearance. He has a top jockey booked and remains worthy of respect. Durgan and Master Fong have shown ability, Sir Isaac won well on his return and none of Cylfymder, Head Down or Beautiful Breeze can be ignored but we'll opt for Advertise.
