VICTORIAN BOUNTY is the suggestion in an intriguing handicap where the in-form pair of Bold Argument and Invincible Lad rate highly. It's noteworthy that Ryan Moore partners the latter rather than Rocker who is not without claims and, such has been the Alston runner's rate of improvement, that he couldn't be dismissed under a penalty. Bold Argument's draw may not duly inconvenience him as he can start slowly but he usually finishes strongly and is in peak form. The blinkers will need to sharpen up Blue Jack as he could meet traffic if getting behind from his high draw but he has claims if the headgear works the oracle. The experienced Canadian Danehill has scored on three of the seven occasions that he's been partnered by Dettori whilst Richard Hannon's maiden, Orange Pip, has the ability to win one of these but Esteem Machine may need the ground to ease if he's to recapture his best form. A high draw can be advantageous on the sprint course and a visor may enable Victorian Bounty to make the most of his berth. It's been a while since he's operated at the top of his game but he's a couple of pounds lower than when last successful and wasn't beaten far behind smart horses such as Ancien Regime and Prohibit last term. A certain amount has to be taken on trust but the rewards could be high if Victorian Bounty bounces back.
