MASTER MACHO is taken to end a spell of seconditis and get the better here of the main dangers Eucharist and Remotelinx. Mick Channon's colt has been runner up in his last three outings, and with this being his seventh run, he's by far the most experienced. The step back down from six furlongs to the minimum trip should assist, given that he likes to crack out and front run, but last time out was caught late on. Eucharist is having her third run, and the yard's juveniles have been going well. She was just outside the frame last time out last month over course and distance, when she showed improvement from debut, and further progress could be enough to land this. On jockey bookings, she would presumably be the pick of Richard Hannon's two runners here, although stablemate Foxy's Mint holds an entry for the July Super Sprint. Remotelinx is on an upwards curve, and may have won last time out but for being hampered; he's another who could be heading to Newbury, and he's also got a York entry in August. It's a competitive opener, and we think Chris Catlin can be rewarded for hot-footing it over from Lingfield for his one scheduled ride of the night, on Master Macho.
