    Verdict

Three-year-olds have an excellent record in this and ALTARSHEED can keep up the sequence. Richard Hannon's charge has been raised 5lb for his victory at Goodwood, where things didn't go entirely to plan yet he still won with plenty up his sleeve. Fellow youngster Threat Assessed won a soft-ground maiden at Chepstow then made a successful handicap debut over slightly shorter here last month and a 6lb rise shouldn't prevent another good run. Both Sides stayed on strongly over the track and trip last time and is just 2lb higher while, of the older horses, Oasis Spear looked on very good terms with himself at Windsor though this is a slightly better race and he's up 5lb. Fiftyshadesfreed is the only course and distance winner in the line-up and he ran very well in a similar handicap here last month.
