Interesting to see who goes off favourite with Gerfalcon and Dutch Rose the obvious candidates on the back of promising debuts. The former was close scoring at Ascot and stable youngsters usually improve for the run but DUTCH ROSE didn't really have things go her way on her Windsor debut before running on late for second. The form of that race is working out well and she gets the vote in receipt of the 5lb sex allowance. Richard Hughes prefers the once-raced Onebytheknows to the 120,000euros newcomer Gusto so improvement on a modest debut is presumably anticipated. Sir Fredlot looks the best of the other newcomers and is worth a check for the future whatever his fate today.
