How nice to see the ladies race revert to its traditional place on the card and the talented Nina Carberry can get us off to a winning start with DIVINE CALL for the in-form William Haggas yard. The four-year-old gelding only has seven runs on the board and showed up well until fading late over a mile last time. The drop back to seven looks ideal and he's preferred to Discovery Bay. The latter has Serena Brotherton on board and arrives as an unexposed three-year-old open to considerable improvement. He looks well treated. Lightning Cloud has had a cracking time of things and Lucy Alexander, enjoying a good season over jumps, opened her account on the Flat earlier this month. The gelding, with four wins from his last five runs, displays a fine attitude to his work. Suffolk Punch and April Fool appeal most of the exposed older brigade.
