What an interesting line-up for a claimer with Stoute, Hannon, Channon and Beckett supplying over half the field. However, Eve Johnson Houghton may spoil the party with CATCHANOVA. The gelding made little show in a decent Newbury handicap but otherwise has posted a series of commendable efforts in the context of this race and can give Amy Scott a fifth winner this term. Deny has form claims for the Stoute team but is quirky and closely matched with Novel Dancer on recent Windsor running. He's tried in first-time blinkers. Exchange can't be ruled out whilst Royal Opera is a puzzle, having finished last on five of his last six runs but a good second in a Newbury handicap on the other occasion. A tricky contest all round.
