Dudley Docker just got the better of a tight finish under today's rider over this trip at Newmarket last time and is taken to follow up off a 4lb higher mark in a weaker race, where the main dangers look to be Archie Wright and Master Joseph. The last mentioned has struggled off his new mark since beating Sake at Newcastle last month and may prefer more cut in the ground so is probably best watched at present. Celtic Spa is gradually slipping to a fair mark and gave signs of a revival last time but has yet to prove his effectiveness over a mile, while High Chart, a dual winner on the all-weather in January, gave little sign of encouragement on his turf return at Brighton. Edge Fund is another to have slipped to a fair mark but is not certain to stay this trip and a bigger threat is likely to come from Archie Wright. Richard Hannon's colt showed his best form so far when second over course and distance last time but has harshly been raised 4lbs by the handicapper for that and a safer bet looks to be Dudley Docker, who is taken to follow up his Newmarket success.
