Favour has a low draw and is a tentative choice in the opener, with Tagula Blue, Scotty's Future, Headland and Stamford Blue others to consider. The draw has to be considered on the round course, and with that in mind, the fancied Scotty's Future, boxed in stall 18, may be worth taking on with one of those from the other side. With that in mind, a chance is taken with Favour whose last win came on this track two years ago. Since then Lynda Ramsden's filly has found life tough off higher marks, mainly in handicap company, but the combination of a drop in the ratings to the same mark that she won off here, and the drop to selling grade, plus the fact she comes out of stall nine, will all help as she tackles a mile for the first time. Tagula Blue has already won over the course and distance in a better race than this and will go on the ground, made softer by last weekends's flash-floods in the area. He has not been seen since December though and is passed over. As stated, Scotty's Future has it to do from his wide berth, but he takes a slight drop in grade and will still have his supporters. The ground will suit Stamford Blue but he is not certain to stay on breeding, while course winner Headland has been plying his trade on the all-weather of late. A wide-open affair can go to Favour.
