Crocodile Bay may not have stayed seven furlongs in the Chesham last time and may do better back over six furlongs today but preference is for Sir Percy, with Green Pride rated the best of the remainder. The selection created a favourable impression when staying on strongly late on to lead close home and win a shade comfortably at the line in a Goodwood maiden last month. Marcus Tregoning's colt looked one to keep on the right side of that day and the son of Mark Of Esteem is taken to follow up. Crocodile Bay has an obvious chance on Chesham form but this may come too soon and Jamie Osborne's colt has to give weight away all round. Green Pride also has to give weight to the selection and while the son of Piccolo has done little wrong, today's faster surface may be against him. Suesam and Wilson Star both won last time out and have to be respected, along with the consistent Bertie Southstreet, but Sir Percy looked a colt of some potential at Goodwood and is taken to follow up.
