Very few of Godolphin's horses have won first time out this term but such is the weakness of the opposition here that Scriptwriter should be good enough to defy an absence and he is preferred to stablemate Tavalu, with Colloquial and Jubilee Dream rated the best of the remainder. The selection showed promise on his debut at two before finding just Very Wise a short head too good in a 20-runner maiden at Yarmouth on his only subsequent outing. Being by Sadler's Wells, some would consider the fast ground to be of concern but the three-year-old is out of a Shirley Heights mare, who was a sister to the fast ground influence Darshaaan, so the ground should not be a problem. Stablemate Tavalu has been well beaten on both starts so far and will need to have improved considerably from two to three to take a hand, although it is interesting to see Godolphin persevere with the son of Kingmambo. Red Bullet looks to be the pick of the two newcomers but that probably does not say much, while Fighter Command should improve on the form shown in a Wolverhampton maiden on his debut. Colloquial and Jubilee both have to respected given their respective connections but Scriptwriter has an obvious chance on form and is taken to give the boys in blue a welcome winner.
