Elvira Madigan can take the last at the main expense of Sea of Heartbreak and Primary Colors. The last named was a beaten favourite at Nottingham last time, decisively beaten, and has not really gone on after a fine run at Headquarters on debut last year. Sea of Heartbreak was seemingly an unexpected winner of a Wolverhampton maiden in November, which has produced another winner. It is a surprise to see this filly dropping in grade and it may be she has not progressed from that success and is therefore opposed. Elvira Madigan has shaped well on each of her three starts to date, all over a mile, and this daughter of Sakhee looks sure to appreciate this step up in trip. Several decent performers have emerged from her last race, when third at Kempton in December, and Elvira Madigan may be good enough to get off the mark.
