COLORADO GOLD looks the obvious place to start and is selected here ahead of West Leake Bridge and Speed Gene. Paul Cole's Dubawi colt shaped with promise when second to Fifth Ave last time out at Bath. That was a big improvement from his first outing at Nottingham and if he trains on again then he should go close, with even a repeat of his latest run likely to see him run well. West Leake Bridge represents an outfit that normally have their newcomers ready to run and this son of Avonbridge was a close-up fifth at Ascot earlier in the month; that looks a stronger maiden than this one and he is respected with the step up in trip unlikely to faze him. Roman Dancer is a brother to Ailsa Carmel who won over this trip as a juvenile, whilst Commercial can be forgiven his debut effort at Goodwood and is taken to improve with racing. Ad Vitam's Zebedee form has mixed messages in it, Minch Man and Swendab shaped with promise in minor maidens, whilst Speed Gene represents the all-conquering Richard Hannon team and any market support would look ominous. However she is bred for further and doesn't look the most obvious with Frankie McDonald booked for the ride, so with Imperialistic Diva afforded some respect on her debut, we are still happy to plump for Colorado Gold as the selection.
