        Verdict

        Michael Jarvis has been patient with Djalalabad and it may be worth chancing this well-bred filly rates as good value against the likes of Dance Of Light and Ommadawn. The John Dunlop-trained Moonfinder is also worth noting in the betting, as she looks a likely type for the stable to go war with in handicaps later in the campaign. The daughter of Galileo may just need the experience today, though. Ommadawn ran too freely on her debut last term, so her finishing position of fourth does not really do her justice. The daughter of Montjeu is entitled to leave that form behind her now and, as James Fanshawe does very well with this type of animal, she is one to treat with respect. As is Dance of Light, whose debut form has worked out quite well. Nevertheless, plenty of losers have also come out of the race and she is not one to be diving in with at cramped odds. Therefore, it can pay to look towards Djalalabad, who is bred to be effective at this distance and, as she has missed a couple of engagements because of the ground recently, it is safe to assume she is primed for the run today.
