Fish Called Johnny is almost too obvious a choice in a weak contest like this, but he has stacks in hand on the official ratings and would have to badly under perform for likes of Cantique and Musical Locket to take his measure. Gee Ceffyl Bach is also a player for one of the places but he tries this trip for the first time and has a bit to prove. Musical Locket was a cheap purchase that ran way above expectations when he finished third on his debut at Kempton in January. It is hard to say whether he has be regressive since but that fact that he drops into claiming company for only his third start has to be a concern. Cantique has already had plenty of chances and would have been expensive to follow. Still, he has place claims today and can go well at a fair price. However, Fish Called Johnny faced some very stiff tests after he won his maiden last year and, although it's a shame for his connections that he has to ply his trade at this level, he appears to be a stand out in this company.
