Sweet Pickle knows how to win so Jim Boyle's gelding must be respected, however he is back up to his highest ever mark, and so we will plump for Pragmatist to score ahead of Excessive and Inka Dancer. The selection is unexposed after just three runs and had valid excuses for his recent defeat (possibly unsuited by soft ground). The stable are in good form and now back on quicker going, Peter Winkworth's Piccolo filly is fancied to bounce back at a decent price. Nans Lady shapes as if there is more to come and stayed on nicely for a close-up fourth last time out; she may however prefer a more testing six furlongs. Excessive and Kims Rose both won on their penultimate starts but then disappointed next time up; both can, and should, improve on those latest efforts. Inka Dancer comes here in good nick having won at Lingfield last time out, but a 6lb penalty makes life tougher and whilst Tilsworth Charlie may go well at a price with the first-time blinkers on, we are happy to return to Pragmatist to score.
