Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

An open nursery where there are a number of previous winners, with Menadha among the leading lights, Distant Charm from an yard in form, Albaqaa having claims and both Dubai Dynamo and The Name Is Frank others with claims. We will side with Menadha, who put up a decent performance last time in landing a Newmarket maiden. He showed improvement for both fast ground and this trip and although he has to shoulder top weight there looked to be more to come. Albaqaa would have claims judged on being runner up in a useful Newmarket maiden if he can prove he handles this ground. Distant Charm has won on good ground in the past and this looks his optimum trip and he looks fairly treated so can go close. Dubai Dynamo is interesting now stepped up to this trip after being thrashed in the Coventry Stakes, while The Name Is Frank is another who is tackling 7f for the first time and could find more. Safari Sunup is untried on this going, while Maybe I Will is another interesting contender after a Polytrack win last time at the trip and the market should be watched closely, but without that knowledge we will side with Menadha.
