In depth

Verdict

An interesting contest with some progressive fillies on show. Entrancement dotted up by over six lengths at Goodwood in early May but that was on heavy ground and it remains to be seen if she can repeat the dose under these very different forecast conditions. She was also hit with a swingeing 11lb rise for her success. La Isla Mujeres is coming along really nicely for the Beckett team and this will provide a useful guide as to how good she is, whilst similar comments can be made for Mistral Star, who was a cosy scorer over course and distance last month and should progress further. Loddon is also interesting on handicap debut but the choice is MILE CHANEL as her half-length Ascot third last time does read very well and she was possibly unlucky not to have finished even closer.
