In depth

Verdict

Alexandretta will be rightly popular and her owner/breeder will be very keen to gat a win out of the Sea The Moon filly for future paddocks value. She showed bundles of ability in two all-weather starts last term and may take this in her stride, but there is the obvious concern that she's not be seen for over 300 days. In contrast, PHOTON has suggested he has potential in both starts this season and looks a viable alternative. He's stayed on steadily on both occasions over this trip and should certainly be competitive. Mother Mary shaped nicely enough on her debut third at Nottingham and it would be dangerous to ignore the claims of Change Signs on a first start for Eve Johnson Houghton since leaving Paddy Twomey.
