This race is one for the pedigree watchers with a number of well-bred types attempting to enhance their paddock value and WATER QUEEN appears the one to be on. William Haggas' filly did not help her cause by getting distressed in the stalls ahead of her most recent outing at Newmarket and she is worthy of another chance having been far from disgraced. Sejel did not secure the cleanest of runs at Kempton and while she wasn't good enough to win that contest, a step up in trip should suit. Palerma failed to build upon the promise of her debut at Newbury when a beaten favourite at Goodwood. Good Hope did not offer a great deal in two starts as a juvenile while Blue Waltz will make more appeal once she is sent over further.
