Nonrunner
A typically competitive sprint with none running better than Ladweb who heads the weights following successes at Bath, Nottingham and Brighton. It's interesting that connections have elected to keep Agerzam in their ownership at the age of four so Roger Varian's gelding has to enter our shortlist but we believe that PAL OF THE CAT may prove too strong. Brian Gubby's horses are invariably overlooked in favour of more fashionable yards and the frontrunner will appreciate a return to a faster surface having disappointed at Goodwood last month. Ginzan is another for whom fast ground appears essential and with a victory off a mark of 75 at Bath last term, she is beginning to look potentially well treated. Secret Missile has been performing with a degree of credit in defeat while Rebecca Romero bids to repeat her victory in this race last season.
