A poor contest that is little better than a banded race and where Almowj may be good enough to beat Davidia, Mull Of Dubai and Sebaaq. The selection put up a decent effort in the context of this race when runner up over 9f last time. He acts on fast ground and with the drop back in trip unlikely to inconvenience he gets the nod. Davidia heads the weights will be no back number, although the drop back from a mile may not be ideal for this Barathea gelding who also has to prove that he handles really fast conditions, so he is opposed. Mull Of Dubai is proven on the surface, but looks tripless after being tried unsuccessfully over six, seven and eight furlongs, so a win would raise a few eyebrows, while Sebaaq may be a better alternative. Marcus Tregoning's gelding had his work cut out over 10f last time, but this may yet prove his optimum trip and he handles the surface, so could go close. However, Almowj is taken to land this prize.
