    In depth

    Verdict

This could concern the two recent winners Fann and Island Odyssey and we will side with the last named, Shamila may do best of the others. Island Odyssey was most impressive when beating Brabazon at Windsor in April and didn't do too badly next time out on unsuitable ground. Back on a firm surface this afternoon he will be hard to beat. Fann hit winning form at Sandown last month, comfortably beating today's rival Dimelight on good to soft ground. The firmer surface shouldn't be a problem and a big run can be expected. Sahmila has shown bits and pieces of form and is open to plenty of improvement, she could go well at a decent price. Dimelight is weighted to get close to Fann and may do best of the remainder, but we return to Island Odyssey as our idea of the winner.
