THE HAGUE went close off his revised mark a fortnight ago and is taken to account for All The Winds and the penalised Haljaferia. The last named carries 6lb extra for last week's success at Newmarket and, although he has won off a higher mark in the past, he does face a stiff test on these terms. All The Winds won a hatful of races during his time in Germany and is an interesting recruit for a small yard. There is an element of guesswork where he is concerned, though. So it may be prudent to wait for the betting to warm up in earnest before taking the plunge on his British debut. Coiled Spring and Zaif have a bit to find on the balance of form but may be capable of pulling something out of the fire when push comes to shove. However, The Hauge arrives here at the top of his game and, as he still has room for more improvement, the David Evans-trained gelding makes the most appeal in this company.
