Dorella got outpaced over 1m2f at Chepstow last time so this step up in trip looks ideal. Ship Of The Fen didn’t handle the Polytrack last time and any rain would suit Martyn Meade’s three-year-old. Zillion won easily at Chepstow and remains unexposed but C'Est No Mour never threatened when backed to record back-to-back wins in the Amateurs’ Derby at Epsom 10 days ago. PAST MASTER won at Goodwood in June and was only headed close home at Doncaster subsequently when ahead of a subsequent winner. Henry Candy has a good strike-rate on this track and the booking on Ryan Moore increases confidence.
C'Est No Mour (GER) 7-2fav (11-7) Slowly away in touch, headway 2f out, ridden and kept on to go 3rd towards finish, not trouble leaders, 3rd of 9, 6 1/4l behind Medalla De Oro (11-5) at Epsom 1m 4f hcp (4) sft in Aug.
Jelly Monger (IRE) 10-1 (10-0) Held up towards rear, ridden and headway over 1f out, kept on same pace and no impression, 4th of 6, 5 3/4l behind Bossiney Bay (8-13) at Leicester 1m 2f hcp fll (4) gf in Aug.
Past Master 4-1 (9-6) Led, driven and edged left over 1f out, soon headed narrowly, no impression on winner towards finish, 2nd of 5, 1 1/2l behind Supernova (9-0) at Doncaster 1m 4f hcp (4) gf in Jul.
Ship Of The Fen 5-1 (9-4) Slowly into stride, mid-division, weakened over 2f out, 12th of 13, 17 3/4l behind Magellan (9-13) at Kempton 1m 4f hcp (4) pol in Aug.
Zillion (IRE) 12-1 (8-10) Tracked leaders, led 2f out, stayed on well, won at Chepstow 1m 4f hcp (5) gd in Aug beating The Jean Genie (9-6) by 4 1/2l, 12 ran.
