      Verdict

      This looks a tough contest to call but Charming Guest is probably due a rest having run only two days ago. A fast pace suited Clear Water at Newmarket 12 days ago and there should be no hanging around here either. Goodnight Girl is in fine form and went close to completing a hat-trick at Newmarket last month, though has been raised a further 5lb since. Sweet Pursuit did rattle up a three-timer in the summer but all wins were at Ffos Las and she’s looking in the handicapper’s grip now. She was also behind ODYSSA last time when Richard Hughes’ filly left her effort too late. George Rooke takes off 7lb today on the latter and that could prove decisive.
