Jamie Osborne makes his annual raid on the sand for Melbourne Racing, who have purchased Rippling Waters from Mick Channon. She's had plenty of chances but appears to act on any surface so has to be respected. Prosecution has now had 17 starts without winning and though rated 2lb superior to the UK raider has to concede 5lb. Kendwar led for a long way over a mile at Bellewstown last time and has gone well at Dundalk so should have no problems with the surface but the vote goes to BAY OF SKAILL. Joe Murphy's filly has had her last three runs in tough handicaps at the Curragh and was only beaten a length on her penultimate start in July. Colin Keane rides this track as well as anyone but Lady Nathaniel has never raced over a trip this short, nor has Sketching.
