Golden Acer gets the call here, with Colorus and Playful rates as his main dangers. Colorus was fourth to Tabaret in a York Listed event last time, a race in which he finished three-and-a-half lengths ahead of Triskaidekaphobia, but with the form looking pretty solid, both are respected. However, the dual winner Golden Acer possibly bettered that form when second in a Deauville Listed event last time. For us, he looks the one to beat, and his trainer supplied the second when Colorus was fourth at York, so the stable has a line on the form. Much as he looked progressive when scoring at Yarmouth last time, Laith won as he ought to have done and this is tougher. Rag Tag was found out in Group company last time and has something to prove now, while Playful certainly comes into the reckon based on her Queen Mary Stakes sixth, which has been followed by two solid runs at Listed level. Accordingly, she rates as a danger, but we will side with Golden Acer.
