Plenty of runners, but not much quality, and with our vote going to Bathwick Emma, with her main dangers seen as Lady Disdain, Lyrical Sound, Tallinis Girl, Jenny Soba and Legal Call. Bathwick Emma has shown a decent level of form on most starts so far, including when seventh in a competitive maiden at The Curragh last time. Her overall profile suggests that she should be a major player today. George Moore has his stable in good form at present and, although she only cost 800 guineas, there was plenty to like about Lady Disdain's debut third to Surely Truly, while the Barry Hills-trained Lyrical Sound, who cost only 1,200 guineas, also showed promise on her debut and, with the third from that race having won since, she can go well. The form of Tallinis Girl's sixth to Mixed Blessing at Pontefract two runs ago has received several boosts, while Jenny Soba made late headway on her Ripon debut and should have better to come. Legal Call seemed to improve at Sandown last time and today's six furlongs could suit better, and Miltons Choice's fourth to Charles Darwin last time has since been boosted, so he is afforded a chance. Finally, King Alfie, who seems to have improved for blinkers, might prove best of the rest, but the vote goes to Bathwick Emma.
