First Maite can gain an overdue success here from Dane Rhapsody and Danakim. Ray Bowring's gelding is no spring chicken but still retains plenty of ability. He found the trip too far at Wolverhampton last time when beaten eight lengths by Worth Abbey but had previously finished an excellent third to Locombe Hill over seven furlongs. The drop to six today shouldn't be a problem and he looks one of the more likely contenders. Dane Rhapsody put in a decent effort last time when third to Kensington at Bath and with ground and trip in his favour again today he should be involved in the finish. Danakim has a bit to find on official ratings but if on a going day could reach the frame at decent odds. Sennen Cove is another to consider for each-way purposes, but our idea of the winner is First Maite.
