Father Bertie was third in this last year and went on to win later in the season at Redcar, though is 3lb higher. Course and distance winners Two For Two and Miss Van Gogh are starting to look well treated and so is Wilde Inspiration, a staying-on third at Nottingham on his final start last year. Gurkha Friend was gelded at the end of last season and third on his reappearance at Musselburgh but this can go to ROUSAYAN (NAP). David O’Meara won this last year and his gelding made a winning reappearance last season at Beverley - he was only beaten a neck off this mark at Haydock in October on his last run on Turf. Worlds His Oyster is race-fit but possibly too high in the weights now.
