Verdict

A typically-competitive renewal with several powerful yards having representation and most arriving in good form. Gregarious is two from two over course and distance and his latest victory has been franked. He’s never raced on ground this quick, however, and there is a danger that Lucy Wadham’s front-running grey will be swamped in the closing stages. Fidux could figure if recapturing his early-season form while Hollywood Road is improving. Call Me Lord is also on a hat-trick but the handicapper has taken no chances. Stan Sheppard’s claim is a plus on DOLOS, who ran well for a long way in the Fred Winter before chasing home a well-handicapped rival at Ascot. He comfortably landed the odds at Chepstow last time and seems certain to give supporters a run for their money again. Fixed Rate and I See You Well may be the pick of the remainder.
