The new jumps season starts on Monday but this brings down the curtain on the current campaign. Of the four Henderson entries, OSCAR HOOF is potentially the most interesting as he’s five lengths better off for a two-length defeat by stable companion Stowaway Magic at Kempton and Jeremiah McGrath now switches to the lightly-raced nine-year-old. Black Corton is preferred to Paul Nicholls’ other runner Pilansberg while Duke Street has the ability to figure in a race like this off his current mark. Wait For Me has been backed a couple of times this season but has become disappointing. Valhalla will probably make the running but it will be a surprise if he can hold off less-exposed types up the hill.
