Some useful sorts in this maiden and Gold Bar is given as the percentage call ahead of Arresting, Hayhaat and Witticism. Marcus Tregoning's representative is arguably not the most straight-forward of individuals but she would be worse off with a number of these if it were a handicap and we will take her to take Gold medal on this occasion. Arresting looks the chief danger. He has had the misfortune to meet two well-regarded sorts in maiden company and today's task doesn't look to hold any banana skins of the "Dubai Success" variety. Hayhaat has been lightly campaigned and while she was thought of enough to place her favourite ahead of Mark Johnston's useful Penny Cross at Beverley earlier in the term - her form has been largely disappointing. Witticism is inclined to pull hard in her races and must have a strong pace. She fell foul of both of these traits at Lingfield last time out and merely set up the race for others. The market should hold most clues on this occasion. Regal Vintage has joined Chris Grant since his last appearance for Brian Meehan. He was seventh to Kalaman on that occasion at big odds although there is nothing of his caliber here. Masjoor is the potential fly in the ointment. She attracted some interest at Pontefract last time out and there is every chance that today's conditions will suit. We will stick with Gold Bar in the finale.
