behind from halfway stands side
chased leaders far side, ridden halfway, weakened final furlong
chased leaders far side, effort over 1f out, no extra inside final furlong

towards rear stands side, never dangerous
dwelt, towards rear stands side, never dangerous
Another competitive race in which Rewyaat is forgiven a poor run at Chester and taken to account for Catie Dash, Handsome Cross and Sweet Cando. Rewyaat beat the useful Bahamian Breeze at Yarmouth but didn't look to capitalise upon that last time out. Chester is a notorious track to ride and there is always the probability that she was unable to handle it. The handicapper has dropped her 2lb for that effort and with a much more conventional set-up at Ripon - we will side with her on this occasion. Catie Dash defied a stumble at Bath to still take her last race very much head-in-chest. She remains progressive although she is yet to experience any major deviation from fast ground. Strictly on the form book, she is held by Handsome Cross off these weights on an earlier meeting between the pair. Sweet Cando won an ordinary maiden at Musselburgh 12 days ago. High Swainston in behind. She hasn't been clobbered by the handicapper although the draw may see her off today. Having considered the plausible alternatives; Rewyaat is given our nod on this occasion.
