Ann Duffield is stepping things up after a relatively quite campaign and the Middleham-based trainer has a leading chance of scoring with the lightly weighted Viscaya. Intersky Melody and Carry On Cleo are others capable at this level and are worthy of consideration. Carry On Cleo won here (in this grade) at the July meeting and is respected on that sort of form. She has been well held in four subsequent efforts, though, and now has a bit to prove today. Intersky Melody had not shown much before winning a seller at Redcar in June and needs to prove that was not just a flash in the pan - especially after his poor effort over hurdles at Bangor earlier in the month. Therefore, it can pay to take a chance with Viscaya, who would not have to better the form of her seasonal debut to lead this modest bunch a merry dance today.
