BOTHY has enjoyed a fine season over hurdles and may be able to convey that improvement back to the summer game and he's put forwards ahead of My Arch and Halla San as a result. The selection did well enough in four starts for Ralph Beckett but has clearly thrived since being sent hurdling for this yard and he was far from disgraced when finishing in midfield in the Fred Winter. He hasn't had too hard a season, may have a slight edge in terms of fitness over his rivals and can continue to progress if he copes with the ground. If he fails to fire under the quick conditions then Halla San will be many people's idea of the winner despite the fact that his last win on the level came in 2007 from a mark some 20lbs lower but he certainly deserves to pick up another prize. My Arch hasn't stood much racing in recent times but he's won his last two starts under both codes and is well enough treated on his old form but could struggle to confirm placings with Bogside Theatre over this longer trip whilst Dazinski showed consistent form prior to his final start and represents a yard that does well here and should go well but Bothy is preferred.
