In depth

Verdict

The ground has come up in favour of top weight Artie, who is potentially well treated off a 1lb lower mark than the last time he was successful. Seven No Trumps has it to do on these terms, so a bigger threat may come from the fast-improving Harrison's Flyer, who is shaping up nicely after winning his last three starts in good style. However, he is now a stone higher in the weights than when his spree started and it remains to be seen how much more improvement he has left in him. Frascati can be fast away on her day and she should ensure that a true pace unfolds. However, she may be better suited to a turning track and will be interesting if she heads to Chester in a fortnight. Highland Warrior would also have to be considered if it could be guaranteed that he does not leave himself with too much to do. Nevertheless, he appears to need to drop a few pounds in the weights before he can be confidently supported. Therefore, with all things considered, it can be rewarding to give Artie another chance to finally come good at a track where he has run several good races in the past.
