KNOW BY NOW is a tentative selection in a difficult race where Off Chance rates the one to beat. Tim Easterbys' charge sauntered four lengths clear of Chantilly Pearl at Newcastle and the manner of her success was such that she could have been handed far more than the 6lb rise she received. The concern is that she won with similar ease at Carlisle earlier in the year before failing to reproduce that form on her next two starts. Tarzan may get the run of the race in front which would increase his claims following a decent run last time whilst Fernando Torres is worth noting on his handicap bow. Chantilly Pearl has theoretical claims of reversing Newcastle form with Off Chance at the weights whilst bits of Kheskianto's form give her claims. The selection finished well down the field at Carlisle on his latest start but his run at Redcar isn't quite as bad as a first glance suggests given the exploits of the winner. The yard's horses have been running well enough and Tom Tate has a decent track record so it may be worth taking a chance with Know By Now.
